Areas of Focus
This degree prepares the candidate to be competent in performing on a musical instrument. This concentration is intended for students wishing to choose from a variety of musical instruments, be it orchestral, woodwinds, brass, percussion, voice, or piano. The curriculum emphasises the development of the student’s technique, and overall musicianship while building an individual knowledge of the repertoire for the instrument. Students engage in solo and ensemble recitals as a means of refining their performing skills.
